  • great link diagnosis tool! two thumbs up! ;)
  • proxy support, proxy support and proxy support.
  • Linkdiagnosis doesnt work today, how come?
  • Hi Linkdiagnosis doesnt work today how come?
  • Funnyblogger
When I clicked on "run report" I've got http://www.linkdiagnosis.com/technology.php - page not found
  • Just put my feet back. Hope it helps!
Other than that, I wanted to let you know, that your script, is on the one hand, by very very very very far, the #1 when it comes to: interface, backlink details such as awesome features, like saving, easy analyzing, etc., etc., etc.,.
Linkdiagnosis has been programmed by a genius, and would be worth paying for.
    BUT:
As awesome all those features are, as much it sucks, that only between 25 - 40% of the backlinks (from different domains) are found by your script.
Tested many websites of mine, starting half a year ago until today, but this did not change at all. Damn, you should use yahoo backlink infos to find links. They cover about 90%.
Would be the perfect script for webmasters, if that linkfinding trouble would not be.
Am sure, you will work on that, and as soon as this is satisfying, I would be happy to even pay for your service.
    Cheers

    Hi,

    Geat tool, love it.

From what I have read the difference between steps of PR are some sort of Power Function (best guess is between 6 and 7). Assuming it was 6 it means that a PR of 4 is 6 times more "juicy" than a 3 and 36 times more PR juice flowing than a link from a PR 2 page.

Your results don't seem to reflect that logic. Can you expain? What power function are you using?

    thanks
  • Great Tool. I've tried on some links with not too many links back and that's perfect.
However, I've just tried a website with an Alexa rank around 700.000 and it takes a few hours to get the results.
Is that normal? If it is , it would be nice to access some temporary results while the full scan is performed.

    Very nice tool!
The only thing I miss is a company name or the name of the creator of this tool.
Who makes these fantastic free tools? It's really wierd. Nowhere a name or company name. Very intriguing
It's either built by shy SEO or this is some sort of NSA tool, or what?
  • This is the first time that I use the tool on this website, because my english is not so good,I must read more on your website,
    It is usefull information.

  • thx for your good work;)
  • Hi!

I've installed the Firefox extension but when I try to run a report is having troubles to find the extension and therefore is not able to run the report.

    Any help with this?

    Thanks!
  • We use your tool very often and like the results ! Keep up the good work, thanks folks!!
  • Hi,
great application! But in the new version i don't get data for anchor, Pagerank, outbound links, link stregth. It always says N/A. Maybe a bug? Would be nice when this works again because i was using you app very often!
    Regards
  • Adam
This is splendid man. Thanks a lot. This is even better than the previous version.
  • Adir
No one has mentioned this yet, but wont link diagnosis stop working once bing takes over search from yahoo? Wont site explorer stop working then, which is what linkdiagnosis uses? Thanks.
  • admin
We have other data providers we can use, and that switch is a good 12-months+ out - although we hope Yahoo! maintains Site Explorer post Bing transition.
  • I can not work without it. It is easy to use and gives a lot of important information. Thank you!
  • I like linkdiagnosis.com because it's simple, but I don't understand what all the figures mean. For example, I have one site that linkdiagnosis.com reports has 10 links, but then there is a column called 'links' which for each article I have posted gives a number and I don't understand what that number means.

    Examples:
    http://ovariancyststreatment.wordpress.com - 38 links
    http://ezinearticles.com/?Ovarian-Cysts-Treatment... - 761 links

I did expect this site to have hundreds of links due to the number of articles I have submitted, not 10 only.

Can you shed any light on this, please?
  • Good tool. not sure how accurate the strength rating is as it does seem to add up all strength from no-follow links and there are a couple of erroneous links i noticed on my site but it is a very good start and an excellent way of cutting out all the duplicates where you have 200 links from a forum etc - very useful!

provides a great view of competitors top links and a good breakdown of the PR value f there links.
I hope you continue working on this as it has the potential to be one of the best SEO resources ever!
  • Just been told about this site through the SEO company we use at my day job, this tool is absolutely brilliant, been looking for something like this for months. I'd gladly pay a few quid a month for this, keep up the good work. Any word on the release?
  • Chris
Really nice tool. If you have a mailing list for when it has a paid-for version, please put me on it.
  • ALG
    Hi,
    thanks for the great tool.
Is there any way to show more than 1000 Backlinks?
    It would be very cool.

    Thank you.
  • Maybe it's me still being a rookie - but explain me the page strength again... like i'm a 5 year old please.

The part in FAQ doesn't make any sense.
  • i made an analyze of all my competitors with your tool :) very very usefull
  • Link Diagnosis is great, however it has a few FATAL flaws.

    1. It gives strength to NOFOLLOW backlinks.
    2. The 'Links' data is completely innaccurate, I assume the system cannot tell the difference between internal links and external links.

    Suggestions:
    1. Sort backlinks by DOFOLLOW and NOFOLLOW.

Hopefully these issues will be fixed in the 'new tool'.
    Thanks.
  • Very great tool! I recommend it to my customers. Support for some other languages would be nice.
  • The idea with the keywords would be a helpful tool. Another thing I miss is a multilingual display, for example english, german and a few more languages.
  • This tool is brilliant, it work like a treat. I use it all the time.
  • I'd love to see an option where we could just type a "keyword" and it would show hundreds/thousands of do follow backlinks for that keyword. Pr0's-PR6's.

  • LinkDiagnosis is one tool that SEO SEATTLE uses to demonstrate to clients the type of companies that the competition is receiving links from.

It helps to make us look smart too. SERIOUSLY COOL THAT IT IS FREE!

    Thanks!
  • Works fine, great Tool, dont wanna miss it
  • jimmy
Can wait for the paid tool.. you should whole site paid as far as I am concerned...
  • Daniel
    First off, LOVE THE TOOL!

My only suggestion: I know Yahoo only gives data on the first 1k links. Anyway you can get data on more?
  • Jonny
Thank you a lot. I love your tool! Please, tell me how it work. Can you show the PHP sources?
  • Thanks for the great tool!
Please give a definition for the special words, thanks!
  • markus
see seospyglass for a few ideas

nice to have a variable on how many results to view at one time (like GA)

"The next roll-out of LinkDiagnosis is about 60-days out."
Can you give an eta yet?
  • Zai21
If you charged for the program I would still pay, As long as it worked :).
  • Thanks for all the help with my SEO your tool has given me a great advantage.
  • I love your tool ,

    Thank you a lot
  • I love the link diagnosis tool. It has really helped find better links and also my competitors links.
  • I think displaying 50 results at a time, and paging from there would be great, usually when i run the program i myself run it full screen so theres lots of space.
  • Fantastic tool, thanks for keeping it free.
  • Thanks for great tool . But I can't Run it . It stops after 5 % and start showing error messages . Please tell me how to fix .

    Thanks

    Gagan
  • I was here 3 days ago and I love it

    Great work , i' m a junior-junior seo

    Thank you

  • I wanted to inquire again about the missing link. I have just checked a website's backlinks and one of them is reported missing, but it is there. There is no anchor, it is an image. I have noticed though that html target="_blank" attribute has been used. I was wondering, could that be the reason for it appearing as a "missing"?
I have read already about the 95% relevancy above...
  • Awesome tool!

I like the scrolling suggestion mentioned earlier. The ability to export the data would be much appreciated.

Maybe offer some definitions for newbies!

Hopefully the paid version will offer tips for link building improvement.

    Best,

    Coretta
  • Thanks for the great tool. Your site has been a great help.
  • khonkaen hiphop
Good for free service I like it
  • Renan
man... your tool is amazing!! Faaaaantastic, great and very usefull! congratulations and thanks for that FREE service!
  • I love the LinkDiagnosis tool. Are there any other tools like it? I've used the Market Samurai one, but I'll get quite divergent numbers than with LD.

    Any help would be appreciated.
  • Fantastic tool, one of our favorits!
We are using it almost every day.
    Thanks a lot! ;)
  • Fantastic tool ...

Congrats on such a success ...
  • Hi,

first...your tool is great and very usefull. It would be great if you could add some more information - like a quick rollover FAQ - for some positions (like: what means "strenght" and so on). Keep on working on this great site.

    Lukas
  • I'm surprised that this is already a free tool - just as is it would be worth a small monthly fee. I'll be looking forward to see what you do with a paid version - I suspect that I'll be seriously considering what you have to offer!
  • andre
It would be a very valuable took that I can see many people become dependent on if it had the "added/lost" function. This is a tool I will bookmark for my link building team, wish it was available already.
  • This tool is really good and I am going to use it over the yahoo site explorer because this gives some more specific details about the links we have got..Thanks!!
  • This check is suprisingly accurate and most of the pages that don’t survive this check have some problems like duplicate content, missing titles, missing content or not enough content
  • Jean-Marie
    Hi,

First of all thanks for creating this great tool, I use it all the time.

Sometimes though I get some really weird results..for example...I have a online games related websites and the tool said that I have a PR7 link from the website of the Belgian prime minister...I obviously I will never have a link and never had a link on this website, not on any page of the site...

So some links just 'don't check out', is there explanation for this?

    Thanks

    JM
  • ow, yes, (for the paid version) unlimited link search !!
  • for the paid version; make it offline, so all the data is on my PC and make sure it's easy to pull the data out of it into a CSV file, so I can transport it to other programs just as well.
  • I just discovered this site last week.
Great tool! Gives a very fast impression of the backlinks of a site.

    What i like especcialy:
    - The possibility to filter backlinks by the page they are linking to.
    - The export to csv function.
    - Only one backlink of site-wide link is mentioned. It can be confusing if many links from the same site are listed.

What i'm not sure i understand:
What does the term 'well indexed' mean in Site Diagnosis?
Is it the same as the google search: 'title of page' site:'www.site.com' ?

I think what i would like to have added is not within the scope of a web application like this. It would nice if there would be some history so you can see wich new backlinks there are and wich backlinks disapeared since the last diagnosis.

Thanks for sharing the tool. Timo
  • To express my gratitude in short, two words:

    THANK YOU!
  • I agree with my net fellows... this is a great tool!
As someone asked, I like to see more result at single page, too.

    Greetings!
  • Dave
    I will put forward my suggestions for future upgrades;

    * The ability to enter a list of competitors and results to be shown for each competitor in tabular data. This takes the hassle out of doing it one by one.

    * The ability to produce more than 1,000 results. I've heard WebSEO are able to grab 5,000 links for each domain?!

    * Do-follow/No-follow column

    * Exporting of all data with one click

If I think of anything else I'll let you know. Keep up the good work!

    Dave
  • liviu
great, great seo tool; i am a little confused thou what missing links mean (i checked one page and the link is there); maybe you could make a page where you explain every term used in the report?
thx for a great free seo tool!!
  • Dee Ford
Would love to be able to examine just a page (URL) as opposed to the entire domain. Being able to see only the links pointing to that page.

Also, the option to examine internal or external links. Users could get a lot of information about their own internal linking.

The ability to export ALL of the link information with one shot.
  • The instructions didn't work for me for the firefox plugin/adon with firefox 3 anyway. I had to download the file to my pc then choose open the file with firefox before I could get it to work. Just thought maybe someone else might read this and benefit from it.
  • Dear LD-Team,

Thanks for that fine FREE service, which is a usefull tool to get a representative link structure overview with my sites.

    Kind regards from Germany

    Andreas

Some way to group the nofollow and dofollow links, and when you save to CSV it should give a row saying of they are no or do follow.
  • I am thoroughly impressed by your site and this powerful tool. I use link diagnosis at least 10-15 times per day and have recommended it to several colleagues. I have a funny feeling that you guys are going to become a big authority in the online world of SEO.

I am really looking forward to becoming a premium member, as are my friends. At this point there is nothing I would change, but I will brainstorm with my buddies and let you know if we come up with anything.

Keep up the excellent work, you guys rock!
  • I think it is a fantastic tool. Your are dynamite. Would like to see a glossary of terms.
  • Yeah, that would be great. Just make something with the results, it is a bit mess at the moment.

Thanks guys for one of the best SEO tools on the net so far.
  • I think the link diagnosis page should be scrollable rather than having to click page 2/3 etc..
Would make it much easier to see alot of links quickly.

also the option to view links from external sites only

    Keep up the good work
